On top of the £1,000 prize, the winning story will be published as an ebook by Bloomsbury Reader
Sponsored by the Margery Allingham Society, the new prize is for an unpublished short story of up to 3,500 words. Stories may be on any theme, but must include an element of mystery.
There is a £10 entry fee.
The closing date is 16 March.
