Subscriber Kirsty has contributed her writing to an anthology in aid of wildlife
'I am delighted to report that I have a story in the new charity anthology from Springbok Publications, Plight of the Rhino,' writes subscriber Kirsty Ferry.
'The stories and poems, written by international writers, depict wildlife in all its glory. Springbok is donating a minimum of £1 from the sale of each book to Save the Rhino International, and all of the authors and illustrators gave their work and time for free.
My story, The Eagle’s Kingdom, is set at Soldier’s Leap in Killiecrankie, Scotland – a magical, inspirational place I have longed to write about. To depict the eagle, that wonderful area and to be helping wildlife on a wilder scale is a great feeling. Plight of the Rhino is even more special, as my very talented cousin, Elaine McKenna, created a unique piece of artwork for the cover, as well as contributing to the anthology. Our grandparents would be proud of us! Plight of the Rhino is available on Amazon, in both paperback and ebook form, and to find out more about rhino conservation work, please visit www.savetherhino.org.'
