Ian won the £20,000 prize for his debut psychological thriller The Picture on the Fridge
Now in its third year, the Kindle Storyteller Award is for authors who published their book through Kindle Direct Publishing on Amazon.co.uk.
As well as a £20,000 cash prize, Ian's book will receive a marketing campaign on Amazon to support it and the opportunity to have the book translated. For the first time, the finalists and the winners from six worldwide Kindle awards will be evaluated by a panel from Amazon International Originals, with one title selected to work with Amazon Studios with the possibility of being developed for potential adaptation as a Prime Video production.
Ian, from Beccles, is an established science fiction author who started writing in 2016. 'What I loved about this award is the name "Storyteller",' he said. 'When I first wrote a book it was to do just that, to tell a story.'
