Getting Published: Which Route Do I Take will inform emerging writers about different paths to publication
Taking place on 12 July at The Wellcome Collection in London, the conference will showcase new developments and ventures in publishing and look at the pros and cons of the options available for new writers, from traditional publishing to self-publishing.
Speakers and topics will include:
• Agents Jo Unwin and Charlie Campbell on how to submit your book
• John Mitchinson, co-founder of Unbound, on running a successful crowd-funded publishing house
• Stephan Tober on the success of publishing house And Another Story
• Tom Tivnan from The Bookseller on chosing a self-publishing platform
• Publicist Preena Gadher on how she makes writers famous
• Writer Polly Courtney on why she chose to self-publish after taking the traditional publishing route
• Laurie Penney on her journey from blogger to traditionally published non-fiction author
Getting Published: Which Route Do I Take, which takes place on 12 July between 9.30am and 5.50pm, costs £95.
