Enter 500-word stories with a joyous or hopeful theme
The A Story for Daniel competition was set up in memory of Daniel Fairbrace, and to raise awareness of blood stem cell donation.
Stories may be aimed at adults or children, and there are no restrictions on genre.
The winner gets £100 and there is a bundle of goodies for the runner up. Both winning stories may be published online.

Each writer may enter one story.
There is no entry fee but submitting writers may make a charitable donation in Daniel's memory.
The closing date is 31 October.
