The first prize in the competition for 250-word stories is £600
The Edinburgh International Flash Fiction Award is one of the creative writing competitions from Scottish Arts Trust. It is open to published and unpublished writers worldwide.
Enter original, unpublished short stories of 250 words, in any style or genre for adult readers. The first prize is £600, the second, £300 and the third, £150. Winners will be invited to the Scottish Arts Club Flash Fiction Awards Dinner at the Scottish Arts Club in February 2020, and will be published in the next anthology. The chief judge is author Sandra Ireland, who won the first Scottish Arts Trust Short Story Award in 2014.
The entry fee is £6 per story.
The closing date is 30 September.
