Short fiction and poetry are invited on the theme of 'roots'
Writers from everywhere are welcome to enter. There is a first prize in the adult category of £100, and a second prize of £50.
In the under-18 category, the first prize is £50 and the second prize £25.
There is an additional prize of a week on an Arvon/Moniack Mhor writing course for the entry with the most potential.
Short fiction may be up to 2,000 words, and poetry up to 40 lines.
There is an entry fee of £3.50 per story in the adult category.
The closing date is 31 January.
