The deadline for the £1,000 award for emerging writers has been extended to 18 September
The Art Criticism Prize launched last year. It has since added Laurence King Publishing and Elephant Press to its primary sponsor Artquarters Press, and increased the prize money from £600 to £1,000. The prize will run twice yearly.
The competition is for submissions up to 750 words addressing a contemporary visual arts exhibition that has taken place within 6 months of the submission deadline. To be eligible to enter, writers should not have had more than three pieces of writing published in print.
Elephant quarterly arts and culture magazine will commission a piece from the winner.
