Collaborative site HeadStuff.org is interested in high-quality writing about aspects of contemporary culture
Regular HeadStuff topics include literature, art, photography, film, politics, science and humour. The pick'n'mix site is a collection of views and reviews on aspects of culture from broad, mainstream subjects to coverage of niche areas.
Writing collected under the 'literature' tab includes a long piece about the experience of a silent Buddhist retreat, an article about Dylan Thomas's 1946 visit to Puck Fair and a feature about breaking bad reading habits.
Although the bulk of the content is non-fiction, the eclectic site also features snippets of fiction and poetry.
HeadStuff welcomes new contributors, who should send an email with a sample piece and some background information.
