The Queen's Head is an independent publication edited and designed by Ryan Vance. He likes weird and experimental writing, and invites speculative fiction, magic realism, slipstream, and work that blurs the boundaries between sci-fi, horror and literary fiction. Short fiction submissions should be less than 2,000 words and poetry no longer than 55 lines.
Nerdy non-fiction between 1,000 and 2,000 words that takes an off-kilter look at pop culture or history is also welcome.
The Queen's Head is a labour of love and there is no payment for writers.
The closing date for submissions is 28 February.
