Enter creative prose with a strong sense of place in TripFiction's inaugural writing competition
Entries may be fiction, travelogue or memoir, but the destination at the heart of the story must be as important to the story as the protagonists and the plot.
The winner will receive £300/$400. There are second and third prizes of £150/$200 and £50/$67. The winning stories will be published on TripFiction, a website where locations are paired with books as a resource for armchair and actual travellers, and author and journalist David Hewson will critique the winning story.
All entries must be original and unpublished. The minimum wordcount is 750, and the maximum, 3,000.
There is fee of £5 per entry.
The closing date is 15 November.
