The winner will receive £1,000, publication on the Guardian's website and a one-day publishing workshop at 4th Estate
Now in its seventh year, the competition is for original, unpublished short stories by black, Asian and minority ethnic writers in the UK.
Writers entering the competition should not have a publishing contract or be represented by a literary agent. Enter stories up to 6,000 words by the closing date of 2 July.
