Enter short stories and poems on the theme of 'Fame'

The 19th Elmbridge Literary Competition from The R C Sherriff Trust and Elmbridge Borough Council is inviting entries of stories and poems on the theme of 'Fame'.

The winning entries will be published as a chapbook. In the adult categories there are cash prizes of £250, £150 and £100. There is an Elmbridge Prize of a £50 book token for the best entry by a local resident, and the winners of the the children's categories will receive book tokens.

Enter original, unpublished poems up to 30 lines and stories up to 1,000 words.

The entry fee for over 18s is £5 per story or poem. Entry is free for young writers.

The closing date is 23 February 2024.
