The annual SoA short story award has a first prize of £2,000
The Tom-Gallon Trust Award, given annually by the Society of Authors, is for short stories by authors from the UK, Republic of Ireland and the Commonwealth who have had at least one short story published or accepted for publication.
Enter original, published or unpublished short stories up to 5,000 words.
The winner will receive £2,000 and the runner up, £1,000. Up to four shortlisted authors will each receive £500.
Entry is free.
The closing date is 31 October.
