Creative writing prize: Stories Competition

The competition is part of the new Stories Festival from The Evening Standard in Association with Netflix

The competition is asking 'What's your story?" It invites any kind of story – imaginative story, personal story, growing up story - told in any kind of way, including written, sung, signed, rapped or tapped into a phone. There are two categories: young adult (age 11-17) and adult (18+).

Winners' prizes include workshop sessions with an editor at Penguin, publication of their stories on standard.co.uk, and VIP passes to the Stories Festival.

The closing date is 30 June.

The Stories Festival from The Evenign Standard in association with Netflix will celebrate novelists, poets and screenwriters sharing their stories. It will include appearances from Jed Mercurio, Rabina Khan, Will Young and Naoise Dolan, and feature a showcase from #MerkyBooks and a 'proof party' from Dialogue Books. The Stories Festival takes place in London between 24 and 26 September.
