The theme for this year's contest is 'Between'
Now in its fourth year, The Ovacome Writing Competition is in aid of ovarian cancer support services and awareness projects.
There is a first prize of £250 and a runner-up prize of a £50 Waterstones book voucher. Winning stories will be published online.
The competition is for original, unpublished short stories up to 1,500 words, on the 'Between' theme. Stories do not have to be about health or ovarian cancer.
The entry fee is £8.
The closing date is 15 September.
