The theme of this year's contest for stories betweek 4,000 and 10,000 words is 'The Gift'
The competition is for original, unpublished short fiction which must feature a gift in some context. The minimum length for entries is 4,000 words and the maximum, 10,000.
One winner will receive £300 and two runners up will each get £100. The publisher intends to publish the winning and highly commended stories in a Ouen Press compilation.
Each author may enter only one story. Entry is free.
The closing date is 31 December.
