There's a £1,000 first prize for the short story competition for writers from the capital
The prize, from London's writer developmemnt agency Spread the Word, is now in its sixth year. As well as receiving £1,000, the winning writer will have a meeting with an agent. Two runners up each get £250 and a meeting with an editor.
All writers entering the competition must have a London postcode. The entry fee is £8 per story.
Enter original, unpublished stories up to 5,000 words by the closing date of 17 September.
