The inaugural £1,000 competition is being run in association with digital publisher Canelo
The I Am In Print Novel Award is for novel manuscripts in the genres of action thriller, cosy mystery, crime, historical adventure, horror, psychological thriller, romance and saga. Writers entering the competition must not be under contract to a traditional publisher or represented by a literary agent. Books that have previously been self-published or placed in a competition may not be entered.
There is a first prize of £1,000 and a 60-minute one-to-one with a Canelo editor. There are two runners-up prizes of 30-minute one-to-ones with a Canelo editor.
The entry fee is £25, which includes entry to Canelo masterclasses being held on 30 November. 50% discounts are available for underrepresented writers.
The closing date is 9 October.
