The competition run by the Hysterectomy Association invites short stories, flash fiction and poetry
Entries may be on any subject that will appeal to website visitors, who are mostly women between 25 and 65. All styles and genres are accepted, expect for erotica and horror.
• Short stories may be up to 2,000 words. The prize is £150. The entry fee is £5.
• Flash fiction may be up to 250 words. The prize is £75. The entry fee is £3.
• Poetry may be up to 20 lines. The prize is £75. The entry fee is £3.
The winners and nine runners up in each category will be published in the Hysteria 5 anthology in November.
The closing date to enter the Hysteria Writing Competition 2016 is 31 August.
