The next deadline in the quarterly contest is 31 May 2022
The Cranked Anvil Flash Fiction Competition is for original, unpublished flash stories up to 500 words, on any theme or genre.
There are prizes of £150, £75 and £30.
The entry fee is £5 for one, £8 for two and as a special for this May deadline, £10 for four.
The closing date for the next quarterly flash fiction competition is 31 May.
* Cranked Anvil has introduced a new monthly Prompt Comp, with prizes of £150, £75 and £30. The current contest is for fiction between 700 and 1,00 words which must include an animal, take place in more than one location and contain the words 'pencil', 'retire' and 'quickly'. The entry fees are £5 for one, £8 for two and £10 for three. The closing date is 1 April.
