Enter stories and poems on this year's theme of 'Adventure'

The competition from Glasgow Women's Library is for short fiction and poems by women born in Scotland or who have lived in Scotland. This includes trans and intersex women as well as non-binary and gender fluid people.

Shortlisted writers will be invited to read their work at an online event on 16 November and the winners will be announced on the night. Prizes include a one-to-one mentoring session with one of the judges, who this year include children's writer Maisie Chan, writer Kirsten MacQuarrie and GWL librarian Wendy Kirk.

Enter original, unpublished stories and poems up to 1,000 words on the 'Adventure' theme. Writers may submit once to each category.

Entry is free.

The closing date is 29 September.
