The Federation of Writers Scotland contest has prizes for poetry, short stories and flash fiction
There are five categories on the Autumn Equinox Competition: Open Poetry (in Scots or English); Open Short Story (in Scots or English); Open Flash Fiction (in Scots or English); Scottish Gaelic (poetry and flash fiction) and Scots (poetry and flash fiction).
Enter stories up to 2,000 words, poems up to 40 lines and flash fiction up to 500 words.
In each category there are prizes of £100, £25 and £10.
The entry fee is £4 for the first entry in any category/£8 for two/£10 for three/£3 for any subsequent entry in the same category.
The closing date is 13 October.
