The national creative arts competition for the over-60s has categories for art, poetry and short stories

The categories are poetry, short stories, and art. There are separate categories for Beginners and Experienced. The winner of each category, Beginner and Experienced, will receive £200.

Entries may be Coronation-themed, or not. An anthology of the best works will be sent to the King and Queen at Buckingham Palace.

The poetry category is for original, unpublished poems up to 40 lines.

The short stories category is for short stories between 2,000 and 10,000 words

The entry fee is £5 per story or poem.

All entrants must be UK citizens aged 60 and over.

The closing date is 14 July.
