• Tacchi-Morris's annual The Page is Printed competition invites writers to send anything that can fit on a page of A4. Short stories, poems, letters, shopping lists... as long as it fits a page of A4, it's eligible for entry. In the adult category there are three prizes of £100, and in the under-18s category, three prizes of £25. There is also a £50 'best on the night' prize, awarded at The Page is Printed celebration evening on 15 June. The entry fee is £5 for one entry or £10 for three for adults. Entry is free for under 18s.
• Tacchi-Morris's Page to Stage competition invites entries of playscripts and extracts from fledgling playwrights for the chance to be staged at the Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre on 14 June. Selected playwrights will be awarded bursaries and rehearsal facilities. Enter playscripts up to 20 pages, or 20 minutes performance time. The entry fee is £5 for adults. Entry is free for under 18s.
The closing date for both competitions is 1 May.
