Win cash prizes and publication in the creative writing contests from Dzanc Books
Award-winning US indie press Dzanc Books specialises in daring literary fiction. It has three contests currently inviting entries:
• Dzanc Books Diverse Voices Prize
Win $3,000 and publication in the contest for new fiction or non-fiction by writers from minority, under-represented or marginalised communities. To enter, submit novels, short story collections, memoir, essay collections and cross-genre works. Writers submitting to the Dzanc Books Diverse Voices Prize may be new, emerging or established, and submissions may be made by agents as well as individual writers. There is no reading fee for this competition.
• The Dzanc Books Prize for Fiction
Win $5,000 and publication in the contest for innovative new novels. Entries may be submitted by agents as well as individual writers. Writers submitting to the contest may be new, emerging or established. There is a reading fee of $25 per submission.
• The Dzanc Books Short Story Collection Prize
Win $2,000 and publication in the contest for imaginative, inventive short story collections. Entries may be submitted by agents as well as individual authors. Writers may be new, emerging or established. There is a $25 reading fee per submission.
The closing date for all three competitions is 30 September.
