There are four entry categories each with a €500 first prize
The Write by the Sea literary festival is inviting competition entries in four categories: short story (up to 2,500 words), flash fiction (up to 750 words), poetry (max 40 lines) and memoir/personal essay (up to 1,000 words).
The prizes are €500, €300 and €200 in each category. The winner in each category will be published online, and the writers will also receive a trophy and a weekend pass to the Write by the Sea festival 2024.
The entry fee is €10 for one piece or €25 for three pieces (in the same or different categories).
The closing date is 21 June.
