The international short story competition invites entries inspired by an artwork

The writer of the winning story will receive $350 and will be published online. Selected stories may be published in a future project that is a collaborative work between writers and artists.

Stories should be between 2,000 and 5,000 words, inspired by one of the artworks in the gallery. Select one of the paintings and write a short story based on that piece. Writers may be published or unpublished, and may come from anywhere in the world. All submissions must be original and unpublished.

The competition is free to enter.

The closing date is 30 June.

For full submission details, see the website.
