The theme for the fifth WAWA contest is 'Time'
The Wild Atlantic Writing Awards are for flash fiction and creative non-fiction.
The winner in each category will receive either €500 in cash or free participation in an Ireland Writing Retreat of their choice, worth €1,200 (the prize doesn't include travel costs or accommodation). The top ten stories in each category will be published on the Ireland Writing Retreat website.
Enter original, unpublished flash fiction or creative non-fiction, up to 500 words, on the 'Time' theme.
The entry fee is €10.
The closing date is 31 March.
