Win a €3,000 first prize in the competition from Munster Literature Centre
The annual international Séan O'Faoláin International Short Story Competition is given for original, unpublished and unbroadcast short stories up to 3,000 words. Stories may be on any subject, and written in any style.
The first prize is €3,000, a one-week residency at Anam Cara Retreat, a featured reading at the Cork International Short Story Conference and publication in Southword. The second prize is €500 and publication in Southword, and four runners up will each receive £250 and publication in Southword.
The entry fee is €19 per story.
The closing date is 31 July.
