The Novella Award is open for entries until 29 April and offers publication with Sandstone Press and £1,000 to the winner

The Novella Award is for fiction in English between 20,000 and 40,000 words. There are no restrictions on genre. All entries must be original and unpublished in any format.

The Novella Award is run in partnership between Liverpool John Moores University and Manchester Metropolitan University, with the universities acting as hosts on alternative years. This year it is being hosted by Manchester Metropolitan University.

The winning novella will be published by Sandstone Press and its writer will receive £1,000.

The entry fee is £17 and the closing date is 29 April.
