The international contest for emerging writers has a $2,000 first prize

The prize is for original, unpublished short fiction up to 6,000 words by writers who have not yet published a novel. Self-published writers may enter. Writers entering the competition may have a book under contract, and may have published a collection of short stories.

There are second and third prizes of $200 and $100 and all three winning stories will be published on The Masters Review website and receive agency review from three US literary agents.

The entry fee is $20.
