Win £500 and a publication deal in the competition for unpublished writers of fiction and narrative non-fiction

The Impress Prize for New Writers is inviting entries of unpublished novels and works of narrative non-fiction.

The annual prize for debut authors is run by Impress Books, which is an imprint of Untold Publishing. The winner will receive £500 and the chance to have their book published by an Untold Publishing imprint (Impress Books or Aelurus Publishing).

The prize is open to writers who have not been traditionally published. Self-published writers may enter.
To enter, send a book proposal of no more than 1,000 words, a synopsis up to 1,000 words, and a sample chapter no longer than 6,000 words. The chapter should be developed to the point that the manuscript could be published in the following year.

There is an entry fee of £25 per manuscript.

The closing date is 31 August.
