Writers and artists are invited to submit poetry, prose and visual art for the prize, which is running for a second year

Elbow Room is an ongoing series of journals and live events celebrating the arts. The culmination of the Elbow Room Prize will be a special competition anthology edition of Elbow Room and a London-based art exhibition.

In each category there is a first prize of £200, and two runners up prizes of £50.

• Poems may be up to 40 lines.

• Short fiction may up to 3,000 words.

• Visual arts may be five sample images or one short film up to 5 minutes.

All entries to the Elbow Room Prize must be original and unpublished. In each category the entry fee is £4 or £10 for three.

The closing date is 14 August.
