The annual short fiction contest has a first prize of £3,000

The Edinburgh Short Story Award is an international competition that is run by Scottish Arts Trust.

The Short Story Award is given for original, unpublished short fiction under 2,000 words. The prizes are £3,000. £500 and £250. The Isobel Lodge Award offers a prize of £750 for the best story by an unpublished writer resident in Scotland. The Write Flash Mango Award of £300 is for stories that are fun, amusing or bizarre.

The entry fee is £10 per story.
