The competition from independent publisher Dahlia Books is for fiction up to 3,500 words

The Leicester Writes Short Story Prize was set up in 2017, and is an international competition for original, unpublished short fiction on any theme or subject.

There are prizes of £200 £100 and £75, and a longlist of up to 20 writers will be published in an anthology. The judging panel consists of Abi Hynes, Iqbal Hussain and Laura Coleman.

The entry fee is £7 per story. Each writer may submit up to three stories.
