The Kavya Prize celebrates writing by Scotland's ethnically diverse communities
The prize was founded by Indian/Scottish author Leela Soma and is run in association with the School of Cultural Studies at Glasgow University.
The 2023 New Writers Award is for unpublished Scottish writers of colour. The winner will receive £500, professional development opportunities and a week-long writing retreat at Moniack Mhor.
To apply, send a writing sample up to 3,500 words.
The closing date is 31 July.
