The theme for this year's award for underrepresented writers is 'Reveal'
The free-entry Creative Futures Award for underrepresented writers in the UK is in three categories: poetry up to 50 lines; fiction up to 2,000 words; creative non-fiction up to 2,000 words. The judges are Nina Mingya Powles and Wayne Holloway-Smith.
This year the prize fund of writing and development awards has increased to £23,000. There will be five winners in each category. Winning submissions will be published in an anthology.
There is no entry fee. Each writer may submit one piece of writing, on the 'Reveal' theme. The competition is only open to underrepresented writers in the UK.
