The prize is for the best query letter to a literary agent
The Clash of the Query Letters competition from Canadian novel development and editing services provider The Darling Axe is for query letters that could introduce the author and pitch their book to prospective agents.
The winner will receive $700 CAD and there are second and third prizes of $200 and $100. Winners will be published on the Chopping Blog and receive a free place on a self-paced course from The Darling Axe.
Send one-page letters up to 500 words querying unpublished, unrepresented work.
The entry fee is $5.
The closing date is 31 January 2022.
