Win a £3,000 first prize in the competition for unpublished children's novelists
The Bath Children's Novel Award is for novel manuscripts by unpublished, self published and independently published writers for children. This year's judge is agent Stephanie Thwaites of Curtis Brown literary agency, who will read a shortlist chosen by a panel of Junior Judges aged seven to seventeen.
The winner will receive £3,000. Shortlisted writers will get feedback from the panel of Junior Judges and agent introductions. The writer of the most promising novel on the longlist will get a place on the online Your Novel the Professional Way course (worth £1,800) from Cornerstones Literary Consultancy.
To enter, send the first 5,000 words of an unpublished children's novel, plus a 300-word synopsis.
The entry fee is £28.
The closing date is 29 November.
