The competition for emerging UK writers has a £1,000 first prize
The competition is looking for new, original and diverse voices.
The winner will get £1,000. There are second and third prizes of £250 and £100. The winning and longlisted stories will be published in the Brick Lane Bookshop Short Story Prize Anthology. The judges are Dialogue Books publisher Sharmaine Lovegrove, literary agent Harriet Moore and Chris Power, author of the short story collection Mothers.
Enter original, unpublished short stories for adult readers between 1,000 and 5,000 words.
The entry fee is £10 per story.
The closing date is 15 May.
