The current contest is for short stories on the theme of 'twenty nine'
The 1000 Word Challenge is a quarterly themed short story competition with prizes of £100, £50 and £25. Short stories may be up to 1,000 words.
The current 'twenty nine'-themed contest closes on 29 February. The next competition theme will be annouced on 1 March and will close on 31 May.
The entry fee is £5.
