The new award is for an underrepresented author seeking agent representation
Jessica George, the award-winning author of Maame, is offering a support package worth £1,200, including a full manuscript assessment, a ticket to the Jericho Writers' Festival of Writing and lifetime Premium Membership of Jericho Writers. Two runners up will each receive an online one-to-one and lifetime Jericho Writers Premium Membership.
To be eligible to apply, authors who indentify as underrepresented should have an unpublished manuscript of adult general fiction. Genre fiction is not eligible.
To apply, send the first 500 words of the manuscript, a synopsis, and a brief introduction to yourself, including how you qualify as underrepresented and what the bursary would mean to you.
Submissions close on 22 May 2023.
