The Royal Mail's set of stamps, which have hidden clues in them, mark the centenary of Agatha Christie writing her first story
Royal Mail issued the set of stamps celebrating the work of author Agatha Christie on 14 September.
Marking the centenary of Agatha Christie writing her first story, the ‘birth’ of Hercule Poirot, and the fortieth anniversary of Christie’s death, the six stamps each feature key scenes from Christie’s novels, including Murder on the Orient Express, And Then There Were None, and A Murder is Announced. The stamps feature illustrations by Neil Webb with each design including hidden clues and references to the murder and mystery of the novels. Can you spot the clues?
Widely regarded as the biggest-selling novelist of all time, Agatha Christie is said to have sold more than 2 billion copies of her books. Royal Mail previously honoured the author with a first day cover and prestige stamp book in March 1991.
