Comedy website Chortle has launched a new prize in honour of the great comic novelist
The competition coincides with the centenary of the publication of Something Fresh, the first of P.G. Wodehouse's novels set in Blandings Castle. To enter, writers should upload a comic short story or extract between 500 and 1,000 words.
The writer of the funniest and best-written entry will receive a weekend creative writing course with a special comedy genre day at Studio Farrows from 13 to 15 November worth £425 and a bundle of P.G. Wodehouse titles.
Entry is free. The closing date is 30 September.
