Aspiring TV comedy writers from around the world are invited to apply for Nickelodeon's paid six-month Writing Program
During the six-month Program, accepted writers will work under the guidance of Writing Program VP Karen Kirkland, getting hands-on experience in writing spec scripts, pitching story ideas in live action and animated TV, meeting series creators and story editors, working in writers' rooms, attending show tapings, and more.
The program takes place at the Nickelodeon Animation Studio in Burbank, California. Up to four US writers, and one international writer, will be hired. Round-trip airfare and accommodation will be provided for the international writer.
To apply, submit a spec script based on a half-hour television series from the Accepted Shows List. Submissions must be comedic and may be live action or animation. It's free to apply.
The closing date to submit to the Nickelodeon Writing Program is 28 February.
