WM reader Tracey Ward is putting together an anthology of poems to raise awareness of mental health issues in the UK, and is inviting submissions
Tracey, who set up an online support group for people suffering from mental health issues three years ago, would like to publish the book in time for World Mental Health Awareness Day on 10 October.
‘The poems can be written by people suffering with mental health conditions and also to friends and family of someone who is suffering with these conditions,’ said Tracey. It can be any aspect of mental health related illness; i.e. PTSD, anxiety, panic attacks, depression, bipolar, post natal depression, SAD, and everything in-between. All poems will be included in the book as I want to give them a voice and to raise understanding and awareness.’
Tracey hopes to publish the collection as a hardback, and has set up a GoFundMe page. If you would like to contribute a poem to Tracey’s collection, send it by email to [email protected]
