Writers who can offer talks, interviews, writing workshops, panels and open mic sessions are invited to apply

The theme for the 2017 Penzance Literary Festival is Uncharted Waters. The festival would like to hear from writers with proposals that would interest readers of all ages.

Proposals for individual sessions are welcomed, and also for sessions that would fit into the festival's writing workshops strand (sessions are usually 90 minutes or 3 hours) and its Publishing Day.

Penzance Literary Festival is a small community festival and cannot offer a fee to speakers, though it pays travel expenses and can arrange accommodation free of charge with festival supporters. It offers a small fee to people leading workshops.

Content continues after advertisements

To propose a session at Penzance Literary Festival, send a short pitch (no more than 250 words), brief information about your book title, a very brief summary of the proposed session and a brief biography. The closing date to apply is 22 February.
