Apply for Ardtornish Writers Retreat

Scottish Book Trust invites applications from published writers based in Scotland

The selected writer will be offered a month's self-catering use of Rose Cottage on the Ardtornish estate, an honorarium of £1,000 and other benefits including travel expenses and the use of a rental car.

The retreat must take place on four consecutive weeks between 28 September annd 22 November.

Applications may be made by published novelists, poets, short story writers and writers of narrative non-fiction for an adult readership.

The Ardtornish Writers Retreat is intended to support writing of literary excellence. The writer-in-residence will be expected to produce one piece of work, in any form, reflecting the experience of the estate and the area.

The closing date is 31 May.
