The new writing contest is for poetry and short fiction aimed at children between five and twelve
The competition from Tim Saunders Publications invites entries of unpublished poetry in any style (max 30 lines), flash fiction (max 300 words) and short stories (max 5,000 words).
The prizes are £75 for best short story, £20 for best poetry and £10 for best flash fiction. Winners and all approved submissions will be included in The Paul Cave Prize for Children's Literature 2024 anthology.
The entry fees are £30 for one short story/£40 for two; £10 for up to three poems or flash fictions/£15 up to eight poems or flash fictions.
The closing date is 28 February.
